Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for sales and business development within the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and Elite Sports sectors? Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their commercial team. This pivotal role involves creating, leading, and executing a strategic sales plan to drive new business in these key segments, targeting fresh opportunities through CRM, relationship-building, and thorough pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement MICE and Elite Sports sales strategies in line with broader commercial goals.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering relationships with target organizations and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Revenue teams to achieve and surpass revenue targets, particularly during high-risk periods.
  • Utilize CRM tools to maintain engagement with corporate bookers, travel managers, and event agencies.
  • Represent the client at industry events, host FAM trips, and conduct site inspections to maximize conversion.
  • Regularly report on KPIs and sales activities, leveraging data insights to refine and improve strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within the hotel, hospitality, or leisure industry.
  • Proven network of corporate event contacts and event agencies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and a solid understanding of data-driven sales management.
  • A passion for sports and knowledge of the SW London/Home Counties market is highly desirable.
