Job Description

Our Client is searching for a dynamic and proactive Director of Sales & Marketing to join their esteemed team. This role is critical in driving the sales potential and executing a robust marketing strategy for a new opening in Brighton City centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing functions to ensure maximum revenue and profitability.
  • Provide the highest level of sales service to potential and existing clients.
  • Coach and develop the sales and marketing team to drive revenues across all market segments.
  • Conduct lead generation, face-to-face meetings, contracting, rate negotiations, site inspections, and attend trade shows and sales trips.
  • Represent the hotel at sales meetings and events.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key national and global clients through ongoing account management.
  • Strategically manage local and global corporate accounts, examining the hotel’s positioning and suitability to client needs.
  • Monitor corporate accounts and take necessary actions to address any decreases in production.
  • Identify and manage Corporate and Consortia RFPs to ensure maximum inclusion for the hotel.
  • Analyze GDS production reports and intelligence information to develop this business channel.
  • Drive meeting and conference business through relationships with conference agencies, both national and international.
  • Contribute to the hotel’s pricing strategy and forecasting with the General Manager and Revenue Manager.
  • Utilize CRM systems to update client databases and measure KPIs.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and monitor market developments.
  • Write quarterly activity plans to create focus and adapt activities to support business needs.
  • Manage the annual Local Sales & Marketing Budget and collaborate with Group Marketing on advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Support F&B team with necessary sales and marketing activities.
  • Manage online marketing and the brand website, driving direct customer sales.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position within hotels or a customer service environment.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective communication and strong leadership abilities.
  • Commercially aware with strong analytical skills to understand business indicators and competitive trends.
  • Sales-focused and results-driven.
