Edwards & Finn is very pleased to be working with a popular branded London hotel, looking for an M&E Manager to join their commercial team.
The ideal candidate will be a current M&E Manager from a branded environment or experienced coordinator looking to step up into their first management position.
The Meetings & Events Manager is responsible for managing a team of four in coordinating bookings from enquiry to handing over to the operations team for 17 conference rooms with a maximum capacity of 400+.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve hotel and departmental goals.
- Drive a strong sales culture, identify revenue opportunities, and manage client relationships, including show rounds and repeat business.
- Set and communicate clear sales and revenue strategies, monitor performance vs. budget and adapt as needed.
- Optimize event and meeting space in collaboration with Sales, Revenue, and F&B teams.
- Analyze business trends, competitor activity, and key metrics (e.g., forecasts, cancellations, pace) to guide decisions.
- Maintain accurate client data and systems, ensuring SOPs and standards (e.g. brand guidelines) are upheld.
- Participate in revenue meetings, implement agreed actions, and communicate updates to the team.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and team development through structured training and performance tracking.
- Represent the hotel at events, oversee online MICE platforms, and support promotional activities.
- Handle additional duties as needed, including occasional Duty Manager shifts and contributing to revenue initiatives.
