We are excited to be the exclusive recruitment partner to our new client Verdi Hotels, which is an exciting new Hotel Brand part of the Corinthia Group. We are working with the Commercial Leadership Team as we look for a Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing to drive performance across a portfolio of properties, which is set for growth. This is a critical role within the Commercial function as part of the hotel team.  Based in Malta, on-site, there will be occasional travel required.

As Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, the primary function of this role is to create, manage & animate the sales relationships between clients, partners and Global Sales Office support teams, as well as leveraging marketing supports for the business through centralised resources & local team activities.

This role uniquely sits across a scope of Malta hotels, including Corinthia St George’s Bay, Radisson Blu St Julians, Verdi St George’s Bay Marina, Verdi Gzira Promenade & Vivaldi Malta.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive commercial plan that aligns with the business long-term goals & objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, & competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure commercial strategies are integrated with other departments, such as operations & guest services.
  • Develop & execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets & maximise profit contribution
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Establish & engage relationships with key clients, corporate & leisure accounts, travel agencies & partners.
  • Drive & develop the Discovery & Radisson loyalty programmes across the hotels’ client base.
  • Engage respective members through hotel animations & events to increase awareness & engagement.
  • Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships with local businesses, event organizers, and other relevant entities to enhance the hotel’s visibility & reputation.
  • Manage marketing activities for the hotels & related outlets including restaurants, bars, spa & activities.
  • Monitor & analyse the effectiveness of sales activities & strategies using relevant metrics & tools.
  • Provide regular reports to the business, highlighting key performance indicators, insights & suggesting improvements.
  • Develop & manage the sales budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
  • Manage the team effectively, ensuring engagement & morale is cultivated, as well as the development & growth of the team members.
